READABILITY METER
Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 16, 2026.
Your writing stays in your browser
Text you type or paste, and the contents of files you import, are analyzed locally in your browser. The readability tool does not upload that text to our server or an AI service. We do not provide account-based history and the tool does not write your drafts to local storage.
Importing a URL
When you choose From URL, your browser makes a direct request to the website you enter. There is no third-party proxy. That website receives ordinary request information, such as your IP address, and its privacy policy applies. If it does not permit cross-origin browser access (CORS), the import fails and the tool displays an error. Your existing draft is not sent with that request.
Hosting and technical data
Cloudflare Pages delivers this website. The hosting provider processes technical request information needed to serve and protect the site, including network and browser information. This is separate from the contents of your draft. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
Cookies and analytics
This version does not include third-party advertising or an analytics script. The tool does not set application cookies or store draft history. Hosting security mechanisms may operate separately.
Future advertising
We plan to add third-party advertising in a future version. It is not active now. Before adding it, we will update this policy with the providers and actual data practices and introduce any required consent controls. We will not describe future advertising as already active.
Contact messages
If you email [email protected], your message is forwarded through Cloudflare Email Routing to our Gmail inbox. We use your address and message to respond to your request. Email is separate from local draft analysis: please do not send sensitive drafts by email.
Changes
We will update the effective date when this policy changes. The current policy describes this version of Readability Meter.
